This is called “Chorizo Casero” or homemade sausage. I got it at Tony’s Deli in Jamaica. This is an area that is so intriguing to me, that whenever I get a traffic ticket, I use it as an excuse to check out the Portuguese section of Queens. There isn’t much, so I always end up here at Tony’s. Lots of surprises, including the famous egg tarts from Teixeira’s in Newark, and this sausage.
